  Baker Townhouse
Aspen, Colorado
Size: 1,471 square feet
Completion Date: May 2006

This Aspen townhouse renovation creates a warm modern oasis using a chic palette of walnut, white oak and fine stone to completely update the interior. The master suite is reconfigured to include a 5 piece bath, a walk-in closet appointed with walnut millwork and a Zen courtyard garden. In the master bath, panels of frosted glass and 3-Form eco resin form walls and doors, and finish materials are kept light to create an airy, spa environment. The stair in the upper level has a custom steel railing and leather wrapped handrail with a baseball stitch. The great room is book-ended with a private internal facing deck and outward facing deck open to mountain views beyond. This open design allows for natural light to penetrate the spaces throughout the day. Cladding the wood burning fireplace in horizontal panels of walnut and steel creates a retractable hideaway for a flat screen TV as well as an elegant focal point.
