  Burlingame PreFab
Aspen, Colorado
Size: 2,700 square feet
Completion Date: Spring 2009

This single family residence is located just outside of town in the newly planned community of Burlingame Ranch. The design is fully custom, but the construction is modular PreFab to help keep the schedule tight and the project within budget. The house is sited to take full advantage of views of the ranch and Aspen Mountain. Strategically placed windows wash the home with natural light. Reclaimed weathered wood is used as siding to clad the house and is paired with a complement of sustainable materials such as rusty corrugated metal that will be easy to maintain in the mountain climate.

Sustainable components of the project include:
Prefabricated construction resulting in efficient building and fewer vehicles on the road to and from the jobsite
Efficient core and shell construction
Reclaimed wood siding and other low maintenance exterior materials
Renewable bamboo floors
