  Cheval Ranch
Woody Creek, Colorado
Size: 12,000 square feet
Completion Date: TBD

The design of this single family compound on 40-acres in Woody Creek responds to the three existing historic cabins on the site and its surrounding natural environment of established cottonwoods and rolling horse pasture. This main residence is one portion of the master plan R+B created for the 40 acre parcel. The form is inspired by a historic ranch and a western storefront; brick, stone, and barnwood clad the exterior, and an “old” stone wall helps define circulation within the house. A pass-through entry courtyard with large sliding barn doors, a swimming pool, and a roof deck for yoga are spaces from which to enjoy the outdoors and panoramic views.
