Designer

Designers are the ‘foundation’ of R+B! Emerging Professionals are flexible and generally perform a wide variety of tasks on daily basis. Good project designers support their teams thoroughly and effectively by communicating frequently.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in and support the design direction
  • Develop design under supervision
  • Draft typical details and other collateral
  • Assist project team in developing the project vision and design concepts
  • Perform routine architectural and interiors assignments
  • General filing, drawing management and overall project organization (servers, binders, flat files, project samples)
  • Ensure the project complies with regulations and codes set by local jurisdictions
  • Prepare applications for permits and other special reviews
  • Computer and physical modeling production and renderings
  • Pick up redlines
Qualifications
  • Is on the path to licensure/certification with 0+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or related degree from an accredited program
  • Demonstrates an ability to build and study scaled models and renderings
  • Demonstrates rapidly developing skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D modeling (computer and physical), Revit, rendering, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Possesses strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Has the ability to effectively communicate issues and concerns to stakeholders, vendors, and project team members
  • Salary Range: $62,000 - $80,000 (Salary DOE and Location)

Interior Designer / Senior Interior Designer

Interior Designers are ‘the glue’ of R+B! Interior Designers are ultimately responsible for all drawings, documents, and specifications, with specific attention to the technical design of the project. They perform at a high level and do not wait to be led.

Responsibilities
  • Provide and apply design options and vetting them thoroughly while actively engaging the project team and R+B leadership
  • Preparation of and the ultimate success of the set of drawings and specifications (accurate, thorough, efficient, aesthetically pleasing graphics)
  • Technical accuracy and completeness of the Design Documents at all stages of development
  • Appropriate application and incorporation of building, zoning, energy, accessibility, and other relevant codes to all projects
  • Appropriate application and incorporation of recent and relevant building science and materials to all projects
  • Manage, coordinate, and serve as the primary point of contact of consultants, building agencies, and contractors
  • Generate and pick up redlines
Qualifications
  • 3+ years years of experience or demonstrated equivalence
  • Has a bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or related degree from an accredited program
  • Exercises independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, solves typical and conventional problems when encountered, and receives guidance on unusual or complex design problems
  • Independently develops and documents project technical strategies, collateral, and deliverables under the supervision of more experienced staff
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D modeling, rendering, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and purchasing software
  • Demonstrates familiarity with and understanding of contract terms and provisions, and is able to identify items outside of scope or add on services
  • Salary Range: $62,000 - $126,000 (Salary DOE, Licensure, and Location)

Project Manager / Project Architect

Project Manager / Project Architect

Project Managers are ‘the pulse’ of R+B! Project Managers leave a lasting impression with our clients, create trusting relationships, and deliver the best project performance.

Responsibilities
  • Direct the design of their projects based on frequent interaction with and direction from R+B Leadership
  • Manage all project efforts, including administrative, design, and technical efforts
  • Develop the project Work Plan, including its preparation, implementation, maintenance, accountability, and progress communication with R+B leadership
  • Communicate expected standards and implementing a quality control plan on every project
  • Ensure project start-up and close-out are properly executed
  • Ensure financial performance of projects (on time, on budget, and fee collection efforts)
  • Create scope of work, fee estimates, proposals, client and consultant contracts, and monitoring, revising, and adjusting the same throughout the project
  • Be the primary liaison and contact with clients, including day-to-day interaction and communication
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalence
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or related degree from an accredited program
  • Manages small- to medium-scope projects of conventional complexity, including multiple projects simultaneously if appropriate, and may assist other Project Managers with their projects (scope size may vary based on need at the time)
  • Exercises independent judgment in the evaluation of and response to typical and conventional project management problems, and seeks and receives guidance on unusual or complex situations
  • Receives guidance on scope, schedule, contractual, administrative, personnel, and strategic topics from more experience staff
  • Demonstrates sound competence in conventional architectural principles and practices regarding both design and technical issues and in developing a team
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D modeling, rendering, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $130,000 (Salary DOE, Licensure, and Location)

Visual Artist / 3D Artist

The Visual Artist is the ‘imagination’ of R+B! The Visual Artist makes creative decisions that bring our architectural concepts to life through exceptional photorealistic renderings.

Responsibilities
  • Brainstorm new modeling and rendering concepts
  • Independently produce photorealistic renderings and artistically detailed design drawings that effectively convey concepts and designs to clients, architects, interior designers, urban planners, contractors, and other design professionals
  • Provide and apply design options and vetting them thoroughly while actively engaging the project team and R+B leadership
  • Develop and refine the design for projects of varying sizes and scope
  • As needed, assist project teams as an Architect / Architectural Designer
  • Appropriate implementation of computer, VR/AR, and physical modeling on projects
Qualifications
  • 0 + years of experience or demonstrated equivalence
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related degree from an accredited program
  • Ability to create and manage an easy-to-navigate 3D asset library and produce conceptual illustrations, diagrams, as well as artistic and photorealistic renderings
  • Exercises independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, solves typical and conventional problems when encountered, and receives guidance on unusual or complex design problems
  • Proficient in 3D modeling, rendering, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vray, 3ds Max, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with VR walk-throughs and setups a plus
  • Starting Salary Range: $62,000-$82,000 (Salary DOE, Licensure, and Location)
