  Key House
Aspen, Colorado
Size: 5,000 square feet
Completion Date: Spring 2008

Colorado Homes and Lifestyles, Eco Living Issue, “Home, Green Home,” March 2009

The complete interior renovation of this west end home re-allocates space to improve the layout of the kitchen and creates a new main level powder room and multi-use home office/stretching room. The rest of the spaces throughout the home are maximized and streamlined with all new finishes that are fluent from room to room. A refreshingly light palette of ash millwork, white cork, neutral stone, wool carpets, and white walls breathes new serenity into the home. Indoor outdoor connections are strengthened with the addition of a new window at the entry and all outdoor spaces including the roof deck are freshened up.

Sustainable components of the project include:
Breathable, non-PVC wall-coverings
Cork flooring
Renovation of an existing space vs. building new
Walkable in-town neighborhood
