  Mill House
Breckenridge, Colorado
Size: 4,500 square feet
Completion Date: Summer 2006

This relatively flat site abuts a National Forest to the North and opens up to panoramic views of the surrounding mountains in all other directions. An existing stand of trees is an organizing element for the house. The design of the exterior uses panelized and pre-fabricated construction systems. The straight forward L- shape allows each room to open up to the site and have privacy at the same time. A centrally located great room offers views of both the forest and the mountain tops; an adjacent courtyard serves as an ideal setting for outdoor living and entertaining. The house is clad in low-maintenance barn wood siding and metal siding and roof.
