R+B was selected by Plum TV to design their new Aspen, Colorado studio space. For the first time, the Plum TV space houses both the production facilities and studio in the same location. The space also functions for after hour parties. The driving design concept was to bring the outdoors inside the studio. A life-size topographical platform mountain was created for both filming and entourage hang out. This mountain stage can seat up to thirty people! Thirty-two aspen trees were brought in and put on stands creating an instant forest. White pendant lighting becomes a canopy helping bring down the scale of the high ceilings. R+B selected all of the furniture for the set including lounging fluffy pillows on the mountain. Special design considerations were taken to accommodate studio lighting needs, acoustics and production. The new Plum TV studio serves as the location for the Top of the Mountain daily show which can be viewed in their streaming video online.
