Woody Creek Distillery is the first of its kind in the Roaring Fork Valley with headquarters in the town of Basalt. The building was originally a furniture warehouse and the goal of the project was to reuse and re-purpose existing materials while creating a fresh experience for patrons. Clerestory windows were an architectural addition to the building to showcase and fit the state-of-the-art stills. The stills were imported from Germany for the manufacturing of vodka, whisky, bourbon and gin. The Clients desired a design that reflected the nature of the Roaring Fork Valley in its architecture. The space offers a boutique spirits experience with an open tasting area, bar, lounge, retail opportunity and private event space.
“Keep it local – Keep it real”
The interiors are a juxtaposition of natural and industrial decors including Colorado beetle-kill pine, unique industrial lighting, a burlap-inspired wall-covering and pendant lighting to resemble windswept stalks of grain.
Glass exhibition windows thoughtfully surround the barrel room and fermentation areas which allows both the Master Distiller and patron to visually interact with the spirit-making process from several vantage points.
