As Associate for Rowland + Broughton Architecture and Urban Design, Shane brings more than 18 years of experience in commercial design and construction to the team. He manages the commercial projects for the Denver office and oversees code analyses, quality control, and productions standards for both offices. In addition Shane has lead efforts on projects from pre-design through construction contract administration. He forged a relationship while teamed with John and Sarah on the Burlingame Ranch Affordable Housing Design Competition for the City of Aspen. Shane oversaw the design and planning efforts for the competition entry that included managing a large team of architects, consultants, planners and contractors.
Shane’s project experience varies greatly: Hospitality, Multi-Family, Retail/Mixed Use, Office, Tenant Improvement, Assisted Living, Schools, Higher Education and Justice Architecture. He is particularly adept at programming and problem solving and applies those skills from project inception through completion. In his career Shane has played key roles on a number of projects with complex programming and space planning needs including the Denver Options Office Building, the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, and the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility in Denver, Colorado. In addition Shane has been the lead designer and project manager for multiple interior and tenant projects at Denver International Airport.
Shane grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and received his professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas in 1992.
