This client wanted to create a modern, urban space to compliment his outdoor lifestyle. Windows were thoughtfully introduced to this central Aspen residence to capture panoramic mountain views and create light-filled spaces. The existing upper level’s dramatic sloped ceiling was expanded and walls were removed to create a ‘loft-like’ atmosphere. Experimenting with non-traditional residential materials, the new staircase features concrete treads with sandblasted steel risers to create a sophisticated industrial look and feel.
