Ryan P. Hoffner, AIA ryan@rowlandbroughton.com Originally from Lake Tahoe, California, Ryan moved to the Roaring Fork Valley with his family over 20 years ago. With a strong desire to marry architecture and skiing, Ryan moved to Bozeman, Montana to attend school. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Montana State University in 1996. After graduation he returned to Aspen where he began his internship. Following a three year internship at Charles Cunniffe Architects, Ryan accepted a position with Studio B Architects, an award winning firm in Aspen, where he acquired a tremendous amount of experience in contemporary design. As an Associate at Studio B he has completed over a dozen high end residential projects and was involved with several affordable housing projects in the Aspen area. Ryan enjoys taking a project from concept to completion and watching how people experience and react to the built environment. Ryan finds design inspiration in his travels both domestically and throughout Europe, the Caribbean, North Africa, and the South Pacific where he has studied architecture and cultural diversity. With a keen interest in environmentally conscious design and building, Ryan has attended numerous green building seminars and is passionate about employing sustainable practices in his work. Ryan has over 13 years of professional experience in the Roaring Fork Valley. As a 20 year resident of Aspen, he is extremely knowledgeable in the challenges and rewards of building in the Roaring Fork Valley. He has designed and worked on several AIA award winning projects. Ryan has experience in a variety of projects, from residential and civic to affordable housing and master planning. He is known for his wide range of architectural abilities and his dedication to each project. Ryan is a licensed
Architect in the State of Colorado and is NCARB certified. He completed
his retro-active Master of Architecture in 2008. He is married
with a daughter and lives in Snowmass Village. Ryan is involved
with the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative and Roaring Fork Outdoor
Volunteers. |
