Shane
Martin, AIA Associate shane@rowlandbroughton.com Shane grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and received his professional Architecture degree from the University of Kansas in 1992. He spent four years post degree in Wichita, Kansas working for Gossen Livingston Associates. GLA was a tremendous experience and he continues to draw on the professional examples and mentoring he received there. In 1997 he moved to Denver and most recently worked with Parkhill-Ivins P.C. where he served as the lead designer and architect on a number of projects. In addition to his technical role there, Shane’s ability to develop relationships led to his appointment as Director of Business Development. Shane is a licensed architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects, he brings a wealth of commercial experience to R+B. He forged a relationship with John and Sarah while they worked tirelessly on the Burlingame Ranch Affordable Housing Design Competition for the City of Aspen. He thrives in a passionate environment, loves design (particularly as it relates to program and constructability), and he strives to take the pretense out of Architecture and its process. Shane relies heavily on a sense of humor in his approach to just about everything and his mantra is ‘I just want to do good work with good people…’ Shane’s project experience varies greatly: Residential, Hospitality, Multi-Family, Retail/Mixed-Use, Office, Tenant Improvement, Assisted Living, Schools, Higher Education and Justice Architecture. He has had the opportunity to play a significant role in a number of projects. Shane has helped
design and develop a large number of our mountain projects including
the Mill House and Crave Kitchen. He heads our Denver office and
has led our efforts on multiple commercial projects at Denver International
Airport, the Denver Tech Center and Coors Field. Shane is currently
working on a 5,800 square foot tenant improvement office project
for Denver Options as part of redevelopment efforts in Five Points
Plaza. |
