The Catholic Diocese of Joliet sponsored a design competition to integrate the community’s vision for a village center with the local parish’s desire for a new facility. This planned community offers everyday services so that the village can function in a sustainable manner. A series of continuous linear parks, boulevards, allees and neighborhood pocket parks connect the I&M Canal to the existing Arrowhead State Recreational Park. This comprehensive master plan encompasses 542,000 gross commercial square feet and contains 132 residential units.
