Sustainability Architectural Manager

In collaboration with the firm leadership, the Sustainability Manager develops and implements strategies to ensure that our projects and practice align with our values and pursue the highest levels of performance feasible.
This is a hybrid role which 50% of your time will be leading the sustainability efforts with the other 50% producing architectural design dependent upon candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Sustainability Responsibilities
- Facilitate and help in the creation of internal training, education and knowledge sharing regarding sustainability and high-performance design
- Drive and lead sustainability efforts firmwide
- Responsible for project coordination of all aspects of sustainability within projects including sustainability strategy development, documentation of credits in design and construction phases, product specification, drawing and specification review, construction admin submittal review, coordinating with contractors, project team, and design consultants
- Prepares project reports, budgets, schedules, team communications, informs PIC of critical issues and observes limited site construction for conformance with sustainability certification requirements
Architectural Designer Responsibilities (up to 50% of time)
- Independently develops and documents project technical strategies, collateral, and deliverables under the supervision of more experienced staff
- Maintains and applies a developing knowledge of project-relevant codes and building science strategies
- Proficient in REVIT, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or sustainable design required
- Professional licensure in architecture, preferred
- Familiarity with sustainability rating and certification systems such as LEED, WELL, SITES, and Living Building Challenge
- LEED accreditation required
- 4+ years of experience in leading sustainability initiatives, programs, or project strategies in an architecture firm or equivalent
- Extensive experience with multiple projects in leading, producing, or coordinating the process and documentation for LEED and other third-party standards
- Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 (salary DOE, licensure and location)
