John Rowland brings over two decades of experience in architecture and design as Principal of Rowland+Broughton. As a licensed architect, John is inspired by collaboration with clients, artists and other design practitioners, and he sees the opportunity for an intrinsic integration of art, space and light in the unique contextual relationships inherent to each of his projects. John’s design skills, along with his business background and focus on big picture planning and processes, provide the differentiation for which R+B is known. He holds extensive expertise in presenting projects in the public forum with a focus on gathering public consensus.  

As Principal of R+B, John is involved in all projects in size and scope, and provides leadership on all marketing and business development activities. His dedication to client service, sustainability, architectural excellence and overall success continues to be the inspiration that drives the firm. He has served as a Commissioner with the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Aspen, Aspen Civic Master Plan Advisory Committee, and the City of Aspen Build-Out Advisory Committee. John is currently a board member at Anderson Ranch Arts Center. 

John consistently is a champion of the community and a leader in the design world. Through his leadership, R+B is honored to be the recipient of numerous AIA, ASID and IIDA awards for excellence in design. The team is especially proud to have won AIA Colorado’s 2020 Firm of the Year. With John’s leadership, R+B has been the recipient of multiple City of Aspen Historic Preservation Commission Awards for its historic preservation work. Both Aspen and Denver studios are located in historic buildings that have been lovingly preserved by R+B.

As Principal of Rowland+Broughton, Sarah brings over two decades of experience in the architecture and interior design industry. She is a licensed architect and licensed interior designer. Sarah is the champion of R+B’s design philosophy and rigorous quality control standards, as well as a leader to her design staff. In addition, she is a highly respected colleague in the design community and among clients.

Sarah leads the studios in participation and management of all phases of the design process, including client relations and proposals, project programming, conceptual design, design development, architecture and interior design, project budgeting, construction documentation and contract administration. Sarah is very active in her community. She served as Chair of the City of Aspen’s Historic Preservation Commission, is involved with multiple non-profits and is serving her second year as the AIA Colorado West Director. Sarah helped rewrite the Aspen Historic Preservation Commission guidelines and the Aspen Commercial Design Guidelines. R+B frequently provides feedback to the City of Aspen on land use regulation.

R+B has been the recipient of multiple City of Aspen Historic Preservation Commission Awards for its historic preservation work. Both Aspen and Denver studios are located in historic buildings that have been lovingly preserved by R+B. With Sarah’s leadership, the firm has received numerous AIA, ASID and IIDA awards for excellence in design. The team is especially proud to have won AIA Colorado’s 2020 Firm of the Year. Sarah was awarded the Defy Ordinary award from the City of Aspen Chamber and the Aspen community and was named an Outstanding Woman in Business by the Denver Business Journal. Both of these awards recognizes Sarah as a champion of the community and a leader to her colleagues. In 2021, Sarah was honored with a Distinguished Alum Award from her alma matter University of Colorado at Boulder, College of Environmental Design.

David Forsman has over two decades of experience working in the field of accounting, tax, and financial planning.  Prior to joining Rowland+Broughton, David worked for the Ritz-Carlton Club as Assistant Controller and for the Aspen Music Festival and School as Controller.

David is the Director of Finance in Rowland+Broughton’s Aspen office. He is responsible for maintaining all accounting functions, strategic planning, business and project financial management, accounts payable, and payroll.

David is a Certified Public Accountant since 1998 and a Certified Financial Planner since 2000.

Originally from Texas, David graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Amanda Christianson brings over a decade of experience in architecture and project management to her role as Principal at Rowland+Broughton. Applying her strengths in strategic planning, efficient communication and organization, she ensures that operational procedures are in alignment with the firm’s mission and core values. She is a resource for financial project tracking, risk management and quality assurance on technical production, design and and guiding project teams through all phases of the design process.

Amanda is also a Studio Leader in Rowland+Broughton’s Denver studio. She has been the Project Manager for Matsuhisa Denver and the award-winning residences Black Birch Modern and Game On.  Among the many projects she has led, she was Project Manager for the Sky Residences at W Aspen and the AIA award winning project Art Barn.  Anticipating clients’ needs, organization and rigorous follow-through have been a hallmark to her approach with each project team.

Craig Lawrence, Associate, has over a decade of experience in the field of architecture working on high-end residential, hospitality, multifamily housing, and commercial projects.  As an Associate, Project Manager and Architect in Rowland+Broughton’s Denver studio, he is engaged in a variety of commercial and residential projects.  His knowledge of building design and methodologies coupled with proven management experience uniquely positions Craig as a hands-on project leader.

Craig grew up following his father to construction sites where he gained an early exposure to both commercial and residential construction types, sparking a life-long passion for building and design.  During college he developed an appreciation for team leadership as a store and warehouse manager at American Furniture Warehouse but returned to the AEC industry to pursue his passion.  Previously, Craig worked as a project manager at Humphries Poli Architects in Denver. 

A Colorado native, Craig earned a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver, where he was awarded the distinction of Outstanding Graduate and was a finalist for the George Hoover Award.  He regularly serves as an invited juror for graduate-level design courses and enjoys honing his design and building skills on furniture projects in his spare time. Craig is a licensed Architect and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Will Otte has nearly a decade of experience in the field of architecture. He has worked on high-end residential, hospitality, and multifamily resort housing.  Additionally, he has participated on winning teams for municipal RFQ and RFP competitions for affordable housing in resort mountain communities. He has been involved in several projects, including high-end residential projects, hotel and restaurant remodels, artist studios and ground up mixed-use proposals.

Will’s personal interest in design lies at the intersection of digital design and the tactile product. While in school, he collaborated on a variety of Digital Fabrication projects and is currently making furniture from recycled materials using these same processes. His design sensibilities have led to the design and production of a wide array of both practical and artistic items. These items are created using computer modeling in conjunction with CNC manufacturing and laser cutting processes. The breadth of the objects will has designed encompass alpine skis, ceiling installations, furniture, and artwork.

A native of Aspen, Colorado, he has a unique love and perspective of our projects in the mountains.

Leslie Cope, R+B Associate, is involved in a variety of projects, including hospitality, restaurants, retail and high-end residential.  As a leader in R+B’s Denver studio, she was instrumental of the design of Matsuhisa Denver and Narrative restaurant, condominium residences Waterfront Loft, Mountain Loft, Architect Retreat, and Modern Prairie. Leslie is adept at concept development, design drafting, interior selections, and presentation design and has helped the firm to expand to our Northern California location.  She has a knack for pairing the client’s existing pieces with new finishes and furnishings to create a harmonious well-rounded atmosphere.  Along with being adaptable and creative with existing spaces, she can conjure up a new ground-up space beautifully and thoughtfully.  

At R+B, Leslie is involved in a several committees and extracurricular activities, where she leads the Material Library Committee and volunteers her time to the Cleworth Architectural Legacy each year.  Additionally, she continues to push the boundaries of the Interior Design team at R+B, by continuing to embrace new ideas, adapt to changes in technology and process, and always seeking the best tools and approach to beautiful design.

Hailing from Southern California, Leslie graduated from California State University at Long Beach, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in Interior Architectural Design.  With her career beginning in Southern California, she was employed with SimonGlover Inc., working on retail stores and commercial spaces and Domani Designs where she focused on oceanside residential projects.

Steve Harris has 13 years of experience in the field of architecture. Steve is an Associate and Project Manager with Rowland+Broughton in our Aspen studio. He brings with him over a decade of technical experience leading design teams on a variety of project scale and complexity. Steve is experienced in several project typologies (commercial, mixed-use, & multi-family) and construction types.

Steve received his BFA from St. Lawrence University in Fine Arts and his MA in Architecture from University of Colorado at Denver. Before coming to R+B, Steve worked with Tryba Architects and BurkettDesign (now EUA) in Denver, CO. Steve is originally from New England and is an avid skier, scuba diver and biker.

Dana Ellis has over a decade of experience in the field of architecture and design. Raised in Connecticut, she spent time studying and designing in Detroit, Michigan, and at the Mezzogiorno in Southern Italy. While earning her Bachelor of Arts, she spent time at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, a semester in Copenhagen, Denmark, studying architecture, and a summer interning with a landscape architecture firm in London, England. Dana continued her education with a semester at the Ecosa Institute in Prescott, Arizona, where she learned about sustainable building materials and ecological design.

While studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, she was editor of an architecture publication titled Works in Progress, and a studio teaching assistant and teacher of Degrees of Freedom, a collegiate course on design and renewable energy. Dana also enjoyed the opportunity of working closely with builders on the adaptive reuse of an old mill building along the Woonsocket River while with Truthbox Architects in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dana was involved with the renovations of prominent Aspen eateries, such as Justice Snow’s, The Little Nell’s Element 47, and White House Tavern. Her passion for design lies in working with inspired clients and specifically with local business owners. Helping clients find a sense of place is a guiding inspiration.

Dana is active in an assortment of volunteer activities, working with Carbondale Arts, and serving on the board of Dance Initiative in Carbondale, Colorado.

Mark Bever is a Project Manager with a decade of architectural experience in Rowland+Broughton’s Denver studio, where he is working on a variety of residential projects. He is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a LEED Accredited Professional. Mark is also involved with Habitat for Humanity in Denver.

Previously, Mark worked on high-end residential projects throughout the Roaring Fork Valley with Theodore K. Guy and Associates. Mark also has professional familiarity in the Denver residential real estate business.

A Colorado native from Ft. Collins, Mark earned his Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is currently taking his ARE exams in pursuit of earning his architectural license.

Rahul Mohare has nearly two decades of experience in all phases of architecture, interior design and construction management. He has worked on a wide array of projects, including urban infill mixed-use developments, high-end residential, multi-family residential, commercial, adaptive reuse and urban design. Rahul has extensive computer modeling and visualization skills, and an enthusiasm for design and detail.

He has worked for Denver area firms, such as Davis Partnership, Andrea Lawrence Wood Interior Design, and Van Meter Williams Pollack, across all phases of architecture, interior design and construction management. In 2008, Rahul was awarded the AIA Young Architect Award for built Architecture for the Rail Yard Lofts projects.  Personal passions include cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Brent Carr is a Senior Project Manager at Rowland+Broughton with nearly three decades of experience in the architecture and interior design fields. Along with the ability to create a knowledgeable and creative team that understands the importance of quality design and construction documentation, he believes that maintaining a high standard in the architectural process itself is key to a satisfied client and a creative, successful project. Brent’s range of experience includes Design and Construction Project Management of all stages of architectural design and concept development through to construction documentation and administration. Having designed and managed projects in many countries spanning Australasia, South America, Eurasia and nearly every state of the U.S., Brent can execute a vast assortment of varying design styles and construction methodology.

Originally from Wellington, New Zealand, Brent has broad international experience in various forms of hospitality, corporate, education facilities, luxury single-family architecture and historic renovations. Establishing a common theme of maintaining the clients’ best interests, through continuous communication, from project design inception through to opening day, is vital to his design and construction successes to date.

Zachary Carson has three years’ experience in the field of architecture working in higher education, commercial, residential, mixed-use, corporate interiors and urban design. In the past he has worked on projects of varying scales and locations, most notably on the 3,600-unit masterplan Riverline in Chicago, IL.

Zachary is an Architect in Rowland+Broughton’s Denver studio and is currently working on a number of residential and hospitality projects. His experience in three-dimensional modeling and representation assists in the development of numerous marketing initiatives and design process presentations. He believes the dialogue and discourse of architecture is the greatest tool we have as creative individuals. He serves on R+B’s Visualization and Process & Graphics committees.

A Registered Architect in the state of Illinois, Zachary is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a LEED Green Associate. He is from Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis where he earned dual Masters of Architecture and Masters of Urban Design degrees. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Architecture at The Ohio State University.

With nearly a decade of experience in the field of architecture and interior design, Brandon Herbst has been involved in many award-winning projects throughout Southern California.

A skilled designer and computer modeler, Brandon provides a unique perspective on technology’s role in the design, communication, and project delivery process. He understands the importance of a firm’s connection to its community and has been heavily involved in local AIA chapters. In 2017 Brandon received the AIAOC Service Award for his commitment to design and work on the AIAOC Design Awards committee.

Brandon is actively pursuing his architecture license and received his Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic Institute San Luis Obispo. Before coming to R + B, Brandon was the senior designer and director of technology and innovation for Anders Lasater Architects, a design firm in Laguna Beach, CA. He also has experience in furniture design and construction and has collaborated with San Diego Urban Timber on several custom kitchen and furniture designs. Brandon is originally from California but grew up in Washington D.C. He is an outdoor enthusiast with a penchant for board sports and an avid cook.

Eugenie Provost’s approach to design applies a balance between her technical skills and visual talents to achieve work that is immersed with high attention to detail, quality of craft, and socio-economic stewardship.

Eugenie received her Masters of Architecture from the University of Louisiana Lafayette – School of Architecture and Design.  During her Graduate Studies, Eugenie worked on several service projects, supported faculty grant research, and recently completed her investigation of early education and elderly care in her Master’s Project. Additionally, her research on “Cell Phone Technology and the Built Environment,” with T. Scott Smith, Phd, Corey L. Saft, RA, LEED-AP, and Ashlie Latiolais, AIA NCARB, was published in Cell Phone Distraction, Human Factors, and Litigation, 2nd edition, in the Spring of 2018.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Science with a Concentration of Architectural Technology and Design from Appalachian State University. Throughout her senior year, she participated in an innovative design driven curriculum within a multidisciplinary environment of faculty and students known as IDEXlab. During this time, she and her team designed and built a new Park Office + Welcome Center for the non-profit Valle Crucis Community Park in Valle Crucis, North Carolina.

Eugenie’s professional experience includes over five years of residential design work as well as architectural summer internships in both Lafayette, LA and Houston, TX, ranging from mixed-use developments to healthcare architecture projects. Eugenie is actively pursuing licensure upon the completion of her architectural experience program.

Marisol has six years of experience working in the field of architecture and is a Project Architect with Rowland+Broughton in our Denver studio. Before coming to Rowland+Broughton, she worked on several transit-oriented projects in Munich for Albrecht und Partner, religious and multi-family housing projects for atelierjones in Seattle, WA, and most recently worked on large commercial, science and tech, sports and recreation, and entertainment projects at Perkins&Will in both their Seattle and Denver offices. Marisol strives to implement sustainable design practices into every project and has experience working on LEED certified buildings.

Marisol received her Bachelor of Environmental Design with an Architecture focus from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her Master of Architecture with a Sustainable Systems and Design Degree Focus and Daylighting Certificate from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She is LEED accredited with specialty in Building Design and Construction, received her NCARB Certificate, and is a licensed Architect in the State of Washington. As an active member of AIA Colorado, she is a part of the Design Awards Committee. Marisol grew up in Durango, Colorado and is excited to be back exploring the Colorado outdoors.

Brady Fitzgerald is a 3D Artist and Visualization specialist who has worked throughout the Denver region for over a decade providing a myriad of applications and development across the Architecture and Design world.

He brings with him a background in advanced 3D visualization, advertising, parametric design, teaching, project management, and public sculpture design. At the R+B Denver office, Brady runs and operates the Creative Lab, a new arm of design for the studio specializing in 3D printing and model creation services, as well as provides architectural visualizations and designs as needed.

Andrea is a Project Architect at the Aspen studio. She is a third-generation architect with over seven years of experience. Andrea grew up visiting construction sites and being involved with the different disciplines of building and designing. She has diverse experience from commercial projects and developing brand aesthetics to working with clients to deliver their vision of a dream home.

Andrea’s approach and interests have been focused on finding the best solutions to execute the client’s vision, showing them all possibilities and potential. This approach led her to become an entrepreneur and develop an interior design app that would allow her clients to visualize, in real-time, their design ideas.

Andrea studied Architecture and Planning in Lima, Peru, where she was born and raised. Andrea is also the chair and co-founder of Atelier Home Design, a Denver Startup Week speaker, an inclusivity and diversity advocate, and a mindfulness and leadership enthusiast.

Jacob George is a 3D Artist and Visualization specialist based out of Rowland+Broughton’s Denver studio. He brings with him a background in lighting design and a diverse project history ranging from multifamily, to healthcare and retail.

Before coming to R+B, Jacob was with Davis Partnership Architects, where he began working as a lighting designer and architectural designer during his final year at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2018. He has a passion for architecture and design, but an even stronger passion for the arts and technologies that support the field.

Jacob was born and raised in Denver, CO, and loves to enjoy all that the great state has to offer.

As executive assistant, Julie brings a variety of skills to the R+B team, including client experience, administration support, community engagement, and office management.

Her objective is to keep the Aspen studio on track, organized, and running smoothly while managing the daily flow of client interactions, team requests, and principal support. Currently, she is striving to be the in-studio and on-call notary for the Aspen team.

Previously working for the City of Aspen at the Wheeler Opera House, Julie focused her energy on providing support for the Executive Director while managing the year-round City of Aspen Grants program from 2018–2020 and occasionally found herself on the 130-year-old theatre stage in front of an audience.

Julie’s passion is people. She thrives on new interactions and making long lasting connections, whether it be with new team members, clients, or visitors.

Originally from Austin, TX, Julie studied Nutrition at Texas State University before moving to Colorado in 2013 to escape the Texas heat. Her home base is now Aspen, CO where she enjoys tackling new taco recipes daily, napping with her husky Maverick, improving her Spanish, and continuing to seek out that perfect year-round rosé wine.

Brooke Pisani graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelor of Environmental Design, Architecture. She joined the R+B team in the fall of 2020, bringing a fresh perspective and enthusiastic attitude to the firm.

Before working with R+B, Brooke worked with two boutique interior design firms: The Ranch House (TRH), in Boulder, CO, and Storm Designs, in Aspen CO. She sought out Rowland+Broughton with the hopes to continue her career in interior design alongside beginning a career in architecture, with a firm that does it all.

Brooke grew up in Aspen, CO and has always dreamed of being involved in the design which makes the mountain town so remarkable. She works as an Architectural Designer in the Denver office, and she aspires to eventually attain an architectural license, NCARB Certification, and AIA Membership. In her free time, you can almost always find Brooke hiking.

James Jones joined Rowland+Broughton in the fall of 2020 after receiving his Masters of Architecture from Kansas State University. During his time at K-State he spent time as an intern with Overland Partners, an award-winning architecture firm in San Antonio, TX. He also studied abroad in Orvieto, Italy. Through the experience gained while traveling the world, interning and learning from professors who strongly care for the environment, James quickly became passionate about well-being in the built world.

Growing up in a small town in Kansas, James developed a strong passion for place. He believes every project should draw inspiration from the site, climate and history of that place. He approaches design in a simplistic way – he takes notice in the conceptual ideas and every project detail while focusing on sustainable solutions that respect nature and promote healthy living.

James is currently pursuing LEED certification. When he is not in the office, James strives to soak up every opportunity for outdoor recreation Aspen has to offer.

Jennifer Ramsey is a registered Architect practicing with Rowland+Broughton in the Denver Studio. She is known for bringing the design vision to life. She has worked in client-facing roles as lead designer, project architect and project manager in a variety of project types. She likes complicated projects and complex team structures and excels as the creative problem solver and solution coordinator. Jennifer has a ‘best idea wins’ approach and strives to be a true citizen architect. She brings progressive leadership experience, an exceptional work ethic and an organized, analytical, and creative problem-solving methodology to her work.

With over a decade of experience as a Project Manager, Jennifer executes all phases of Residential, University Laboratory, Community, Workplace, Aviation, Hospitality, Museum, Mixed Use and Historical Adaptive Reuse project types. She has exposure ranging from project financial feasibility and regulatory compliance concerns to all facets of design, bidding and construction. She is an entrepreneurial self-starter who leverages education and well-rounded experience to support the success of the project with an analysis, planning, design, coordination and construction management skill set.

Jennifer’s professional interests also include how design can improve lives, leadership, management, team-building and progressive ideas. She is active in several community organizations. Before coming to R+B, Jennifer worked with Denver firms 4240 Architecture, Fentress Architects and Gensler as well as Bohlin Cywinski Jackson in Pittsburgh, PA. Jennifer is originally from Pennsylvania and has been working in Denver for seven years.

Macyn Goeders graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. She joined Rowland+Broughton in 2021 and is excited to coordinate with an incredible team by bringing a positive outlook and a passion for design.

Over the past two years, Macyn has worked with a boutique design firm in Aspen, CO designing high end residential architecture and learning the ins and outs of mountain homes. During her Bachelor studies at the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design, she worked with a Louisiana firm on healthcare facilities and her proficiency in architectural modeling programs has since advanced.

Growing up in Shreveport, LA Macyn has been drawn to the mountains her whole life in hopes of avoiding the humidity and southern heat. She is an Architectural Designer in the Denver office, working towards her license and NCARB certification. Macyn spends her spare time wandering the outdoors with her Siberian Husky, traveling, and creating art in all forms from resin art to furniture flipping.

David Allen is a recent master’s graduate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and he is beyond excited to begin his professional design career with Rowland+Broughton as an Architectural Designer in our Denver studio. He brings with him a unique perspective to design, an impeccable work ethic, and an unwavering positive mindset and attitude.

As a member of the J.E.D.I. Committee (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) at R+B, David is dedicated to continuing his passion for social justice and equity in design through innovative solutions that transform our communities. He is committed to being a positive role model and mentor to aspiring designers.

David’s architectural thesis project, “ReConstruct the Culture”, focused on the dynamic of mentorship in the black community. Through this project, he proposed that mentorship can be fostered and encouraged through certain spatial conditions. His thesis received the David Williams Award, the highest award recognized in the program. David was also awarded the overall Outstanding Master’s Graduate Award, representing the School of Architecture and Design.

Before joining R+B, David completed internships at Stantec in Plano, TX and dB Architecture of Acadiana in Lafayette, LA. David is originally from Eunice, LA; he enjoys working out, playing basketball, and experiencing new places and cultures. David is actively pursuing licensure upon the completion of his architectural experience program.

Growing up in New York, Sara is looking forward to trade in the “no sleep city” for the Rocky Mountain energy. She joined the R+B team in our Denver studio in the Winter of 2021.  Prior to joining the team, she worked with SCDA Architects managing projects throughout South East Asia and New York. In the 5+ years of her experience, she has worked on many residential and hospitality projects, one notable project being Soori High Line in New York City. Along with working through all phases of design, she actively participates with some of the many committees at R+B.

Sara brings a unique perspective as an interior designer. Inspired by her undergraduate thesis, she is interested in the psychology of design and how to actively integrate our mental wellbeing with our immediate environment(s). As she develops, Sara will be pursuing her accreditations and NCIDQ license, and hopes to become more involved in our industry.

In her free time, Sara loves spending time outdoors with a good cocktail and her pup Zola. She is excited to try all the new things Colorado has to offer!

Stefanie Richter has over 6 year’s experience in the field of Interior Design. She has a history of designing innovative and creative designs for residential and commercial entities.

Being born and raised in Germany, Stefanie moved to the United States in 2009 and received her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa, FL. After graduating, she found her home in the Roaring Fork Valley and has been working as an Interior Designer in Aspen ever since.

When she is away from the office, Stefanie spends most of her free time outside enjoying everything Colorado has to offer such as biking, hiking and snowboarding. As an avid mountaineer, her most recent challenge proved to be her favorite – she successfully summitted all of Colorado’s 58 fourteeners in only four years. She truly enjoys the mountain life and is always seeking out her next adventure.

Anthony Loughran, AIA, brings over 12 years of experience as a Project Architect in a variety of building types throughout the country with 10 years designing and renovating award winning arenas/sports facilities ranging from collegiate to professional venues at Perkins&Will. Located in the Denver Studio, Anthony’s methodology to design is holistic in nature, understanding the importance of every design and construction phase as well as engaging and cultivating successful client relationships.  A Colorado native, growing up in small western slope town called Craig, Anthony expanded his education outside of the US, studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark and Rome, Italy.  Both experiences have greatly influenced his approach and perspective to design in his professional career.

Anthony enjoys traveling, hiking, camping and attending sporting events but most importantly, being with his family.

Shana Broback has over a decade of experience working in the human resources field. Prior to joining the R+B team, Shana held senior HR leadership positions for a variety of sectors including fintech, financial institutions, and the A/E/C sector.

Shana is the Director of Human Resources in Rowland+Broughton’s Aspen office. Her areas of expertise are employment law and compliance, succession and organizational development, engagement strategy, leadership development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and talent acquisition. Shana is a passionate and strategic leader who supports all stakeholders with a unique perspective and appreciation that people are every organizations greatest asset.

Shana achieved her SHRM-CP designation in 2016.

Jake Schultz is a Project Architect at Rowland+Broughton with 7+ years of experience in the field of architecture.  Before joining R+B, Jake worked on tech workplaces, healthcare and senior living facilities in and around the Bay Area. Leveraging BIM expertise between internal / external design teams as well as promoting collaboration has resulted in the successful completion of projects.  Located in the Denver studio, Jake is pursuing his architectural license.

A Colorado native, Jake grew up on the construction site and has always been enthralled by the process of bringing an idea or design into the real world.  After graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder, he decided to put his collegiate knowledge to the test by designing and constructing a small off the grid cabin in upstate New York.  This project focused on blending various construction techniques while emphasizing sustainability and the use of recycled materials.  Throughout his career Jake has been involved in a variety of design projects and is constantly exploring methods of digital fabrication, furniture design and sketching.

Kaitlin Gordon brings 6+ years of experience as an Interior Designer to the Rowland & Broughton team working out of the Denver Studio. Her inspiration and passion lie within design experience and how interiors solutions can affect the people that interact with the space. From fit to finish, she uses her knowledge of sustainable design solutions, material, texture, and light to create compelling interiors.

Prior to joining R+B, Kaitlin worked with Davis Wince Architecture in Denver with a focus on commercial design in healthcare, retail, and higher education. Kaitlin has her LEED GA Certification and will be pursuing her NCIDQ certification.

Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Kaitlin graduated from Purdue University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design.

In her free time, she loves to hike, ski and spend time with family and friends.

Catherine Elzinga graduated from the University of Cincinnati, earning her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Throughout her five year program in Cincy, Catherine spent five of those semesters completing two internships with firms in Chicago working on luxury residential, hospitality, multi-family, and senior living projects. She also interned for three semesters with Nelson in the Cincinnati studio, gaining experience in luxury and boutique retail design.

Joining the Rowland+Broughton team at the Denver studio, this is her first full time professional experience. She brings fresh eyes to this position, and is eager to learn and grow her career alongside our team. In her forthcoming career with R+B, she hopes to pursue her accreditations with the NCIDQ license, and to become more involved in green initiatives.

Catherine is originally from the Indianapolis area, though she her spent time living in both Chicago and Cincinnati throughout college. She is a proud Midwesterner but is happy to have found herself in Colorado, with many opportunities to feed her love of the outdoors. When not in the office, she loves to read and enjoy a good cup of coffee and/or cocktail. She can be found hiking or paddle boarding in the summer and learning to tackle snow sports in the winter.

Kai Eldredge joined Rowland + Broughton in 2021, after graduating with her M.Arch from the University of Colorado, Denver where she was the recipient of the Alpha Rho Chi award. Kai came to architecture through a circuitous path after graduating from the University of Chicago with a BS in Geophysical Science. Before matriculating to CU Denver, she deployed to McMurdo Station, Antarctica for six months to support research efforts, and worked as the Research Coordinator at the Denver Botanic Gardens for three years.

With an unconventional background, Kai brings an open and analytical mind to every design, ready to learn from her clients and help them achieve their goals. She previously interned at RedT homes in Denver and participated in the Design-Build program at CU Denver with the team that built the Auraria Campus Bike Shelters. She is working toward licensure.

Originally from New Hampshire, Kai has called Colorado home for almost a decade. She loves to ski and hike, enjoying all the natural beauty Colorado has to offer.

Niklos Toldi is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Master of Architecture program. He joined Rowland and Broughton in the summer of 2021 as a 3D and Visual artist based out of the Denver Studio. Niklos brings with him a background in Interior architecture after completing several professional internships in cities such as Chicago and San Francisco where he worked on retail commercial interiors. Throughout his educational career, he has developed hard skills in architectural design and representational technology as well as a passion for using these tools to not only articulate architecture as a series of buildable pieces, but as a means of expressing the emotion of space through storytelling. Niklos strives to bring a fresh perspective and new technologies to the firm in order to push the world of architectural representation forward while seeking his professional licensure.

Born and raised in Tennessee, Niklos is an avid lover of film, furniture design, poetry, and other creative arts. He is also excited to continue fostering his passion for the outdoors in his new home through activities such as rock climbing, hiking, camping, skiing and all the other things the great state of Colorado has to offer.

Courtney Everitt graduated from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, earning her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After graduation, Courtney began her accounting career, and spent the next 12+ years, with a south Denver based public accounting firm.

Courtney joined the Rowland+Broughton team at the Denver studio in late Summer 2021. Courtney’s primary responsibilities include maintenance of day-to-day accounting duties including accounts payable, sales & use tax, payroll, and monthly reconciliations.

Courtney is Colorado born and raised. When she isn’t keeping up with her two young boys, you can likely find her cooking, reading, planning her next travels, or playing the occasional round of golf.

Caroline Dini has over three years of experience in interior design and is an Interior Designer in the Rowland + Broughton Aspen studio. Her portfolio has projects in residential design, hospitality, and commercial design.

Exploring her love of textiles, Caroline spent a year in London studying textile design at the University of the Arts, London. During this time, she was able to travel Europe and develop a love for architecture and design. She then moved back to the United States to receive a BFA in interior design from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Prior to joining R+B, Caroline worked in Dallas at Jean Liu Design and worked on various projects throughout Texas. With a desire to learn and a passion for design, she brings enthusiasm and dedication to each project. She hopes to pursue her accreditations with the NCIDQ license with Rowland + Broughton and gain more knowledge of all aspects of design.

As a native Texan, she is excited to call Colorado her home and make the most of living in such a beautiful state.

Greg Ingalls has over a decade of experience in the field of architecture, construction, and fabrication. He is a designer of all scales – having worked on furniture, interiors, homes, and large commercial buildings. Greg brings his enthusiasm for functional, efficient design to the Denver studio, where he is currently a Project Architect, Licensed in Colorado and California.

As an advocate for sustainable design, Greg holds a board seat on the Colorado Green Building Guild. He has spent much of his career reusing and renovating existing building and materials for new life.

Greg received his Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from CU Boulder, and a Master’s degree in Architecture at The Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). Before coming to R+B, Greg worked with Melton Design Build in Boulder, CO, and Gensler in Los Angeles, CA. He also spent many years designing and fabricating custom furniture both professionally and as a hobby. Greg is originally from Newbury, MA and has a deep appreciation for music and sports.
