David Allen is a recent master’s graduate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and he is beyond excited to begin his professional design career with Rowland+Broughton as an Architectural Designer in our Denver studio. He brings with him a unique perspective to design, an impeccable work ethic, and an unwavering positive mindset and attitude.
As a member of the J.E.D.I. Committee (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) at R+B, David is dedicated to continuing his passion for social justice and equity in design through innovative solutions that transform our communities. He is committed to being a positive role model and mentor to aspiring designers.
David’s architectural thesis project, “ReConstruct the Culture”, focused on the dynamic of mentorship in the black community. Through this project, he proposed that mentorship can be fostered and encouraged through certain spatial conditions. His thesis received the David Williams Award, the highest award recognized in the program. David was also awarded the overall Outstanding Master’s Graduate Award, representing the School of Architecture and Design.
Before joining R+B, David completed internships at Stantec in Plano, TX and dB Architecture of Acadiana in Lafayette, LA. David is originally from Eunice, LA; he enjoys working out, playing basketball, and experiencing new places and cultures. David is actively pursuing licensure upon the completion of his architectural experience program.prev / next
