The living spaces are located on the upper level, which features vaulted ceilings and is flooded with natural light. Large sliding patio doors opening onto a south-facing deck bring the river environment inside and frame mountain views in the distance.
On the Boards
This family fishing retreat sits effortlessly along the banks of the “Gold Medal” Roaring Fork River. The simplicity of the shed roof form was derived from the launch position of the “11 o’clock to 2 o’clock” arch of a fly fisherman’s basic casting stroke. The bronze roof metal folds down the side façade and receives the silver patinaed reclaimed barnwood siding.
