This basic principle applies as much to the design concept for this 25,000 square foot greenhouse as it does to the client’s philosophy. Located 20 miles down valley from Aspen, near the town of Basalt, AG is a functional greenhouse grow facility. The first of its kind in Pitkin County, the design of the structure has a rural, agricultural, ranching vernacular that fits with the heritage of the area. A translation of a modern barn, the modern gable form at the entry anchors the building to the site. A series of gabled greenhouse roofs continue the concept.
