The Alpine Meadow Collection is a series of hand-blown glassware in highball, cocktail, tumbler, old fashioned, wine, and flute styles. Inspired by the high alpine terrain around Aspen, Colorado, where wildflower meadows bloom and glacial lakes freeze beneath snow-covered peaks, each style turns the forms, colors, and textures of that terrain into objects for daily use.
For Rowland+Broughton founders John Rowland and Sarah Broughton, the collection reflects a guiding belief: design extends to every scale, and a house is not complete without thoughtful attention to the objects within it. Drawing on the Italian bottega tradition, a creative workshop spanning disciplines, the studio pursues convergence, where everything in a space exists between art and function.
In Murano, Italy, John and Sarah spent time inside the archives of NasonMoretti, one of Venice’s most celebrated glassmakers. Surrounded by a century of historic forms, they found a conversation emerging between two landscapes: the Venetian lagoon and the Rocky Mountains. Rowland+Broughton led the design concept and color direction, reviving archival molds for styles that had not been produced in decades. Each piece is mouth-blown, hand-finished, and made in small batches by NasonMoretti artisans using techniques passed down through generations.
The palette of turquoise, green, scarlet, gold, violet, and snow white echoes wildflowers, forests, snowfields, and sky. Ribbed finishes, threadwork, and delicate gold accents recall moving ice and shifting mountain light.
Made to be used rather than displayed, the Alpine Meadow Collection is meant to gather people around a table, bringing together Murano craftsmanship and the spirit of the Colorado landscape.
