An exchange of perspective

Aspen, Colorado elevation 7,908 feet (2,410 meters)

Denver, Colorado elevation 5,280 feet (1,609 meters)

Architecture is humanity’s imprint on the earth.  It exists in context with its surroundings and responds to the needs of those who inhabit it.  At every opportunity a thoughtful, purposeful approach to the design process must be taken. Respect and compassion are intrinsic.

Everything is connected. In Colorado, many lessons are learned from the complexities of the natural environment, the greatest teacher of all. Last year, historic 100-year avalanches imposed immediate scars on the landscape. But with time, the land evolves, springs back with an intense rejuvenation that offers an exchange of perspective.

So it can be with the landscape of modern society. Those who design personal environments show resilience by dynamically embracing the cycle of life, transcending the challenges of building in a new reality. With renewed vigor and inspired by nature’s example, what has stood the test of time thus far may be repurposed and preserved, responding to present requirements and needs. Influenced by sound judgment and a desire to evolve and grow, thoughtful architecture is assured to resonate.

Every line drawn. Every angle measured. Every opportunity embraced. Every relationship valued. Every perspective considered. Creating spaces that inspire, resonate, inform, transform, and allow for insight and understanding for exchange, provides a living environment that transcends space, that blurs the boundaries in which to reflect, communicate, share.

Exchanging perspective and ideas provides the strength, the courage, the passion to craft new experiences. To elevate design. Proudly. And with compassion.

“Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other’s eyes for an instant?” –Henry David Thoreau
