Studio Manager
The Studio Manager is the ‘champion’ of R+B! The Studio Manager anticipates and perceives client and staff needs, manages all studio administrative support activities and identifies solutions for process inefficiencies and client outreach.
They are the primary management liaison for administrative issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage general office duties and prepare the studio for the day including lights, coffee, meetings preparation, oversee maintenance issues, and track and refill supplies
- Answer phones and greet any visitors, clients, or vendors
- Manage office supply and events budgets with fiscal responsibility
- Organize birthday, anniversary, and other cards and gifts
- Book travel arrangements
- Oversee food and beverage needs and purchase for the studio
- Personal arrangements for Principals in Charge as requested
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as an executive assistant to high-level executives; includes drafting emails, letters, phone message follow-up, organization of daily activities, coordination of travel plans, errands, and schedules
- 3+ years of experience in general office administration experience in managing conference/office calendars and scheduling and preparing meetings
- Possesses strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills while multi-tasking
- Excellent written and verbal skills

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Direct the design of their projects based on frequent interaction with and direction from R+B Leadership
- Manage all project efforts, including administrative, design, and technical efforts
- Develop the project Work Plan, including its preparation, implementation, maintenance, accountability, and progress communication with R+B leadership
- Communicate expected standards and implementing a quality control plan on every project

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalence
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or related degree from an accredited program
- Manages small- to medium-scope projects of conventional complexity, including multiple projects simultaneously if appropriate, and may assist other Project Managers with their projects (scope size may vary based on need at the time)
- Exercises independent judgment in the evaluation of and response to typical and conventional project management problems, and seeks and receives guidance on unusual or complex situations
- Receives guidance on scope, schedule, contractual, administrative, personnel, and strategic topics from more experience staff

Responsibilities
- Research, introduce and drive new modeling and rendering concepts firmwide
- Independently producing photorealistic renderings, artistic and detailed design drawings that effectively convey concepts and designs to clients, architects, interior designers, urban planners, contractors and other design professionals – provide outreach to team
- Providing and applying design options and vetting them thoroughly while actively engaging project
- Meeting deliverable requirements as defined in the Work Plan and project contract using R+B standards

- Reviewing their own work before handing over to their supervisor

Sustainability Architectural Manager
Because Rowland+Broughton’s mission is to have a positive impact on our planet and communities, therefore sustainability (the integration of social, economic, and environmental value) is an essential aspect of our work. In collaboration with the firm leadership, the Sustainability Manager develops and implements strategies to ensure that our projects and practice align with our values and pursue the highest levels of performance feasible.
This is a hybrid role which 50% of your time will be leading the sustainability efforts with the other 50% producing architectural design dependent upon candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Sustainability Responsibilities
- Facilitate and help in the creation of internal training, education and knowledge sharing regarding sustainability and high-performance design
- Drive and lead sustainability efforts firmwide
- Responsible for project coordination of all aspects of sustainability within projects including sustainability strategy development, documentation of credits in design and construction phases, product specification, drawing and specification review, construction admin submittal review, coordinating with contractors, project team, and design consultants
- Prepares project reports, budgets, schedules, team communications, informs PIC of critical issues and observes limited site construction for conformance with sustainability certification requirements
Architectural Designer Responsibilities (up to 50% of time)
