  • Director of Marketing / Business Development

    Aspen, Colorado

    Located in our Aspen, Colorado headquarters, the Director of Marketing/Business Development will be responsible for executing the firm’s strategic marketing plan, directing business development efforts, and leading the marketing team.

    Responsibilities

    Marketing:

    + Understands the firm’s DNA and infectiously exudes our founder’s enthusiasm within the studio and in public.
    + Positions the firm as the leader that it is with concise messaging; graphically and written.
    + Has a firm grasp of our competitive environment as it is today and can strategize about the future.
    + Actively engages with project teams to survey our client’s satisfaction during the middle of the project, as well as at the end of the project.
    + Understands we strive for every one of our clients to be repeat clients and/or referral to new clients.
    + Works closely with key internal and external stakeholders to create campaign strategy, and lead conversation of best practices and trend analysis.
    + Develops and implements promotional programs and events.
    + Develops and manages the marketing plan and budget.
    + Prepares proposals, presentations and qualification packages.
    + Writes and prepares award submittals.
    + Positions projects for publications that reach our desired audience.
    + Manages on-line messaging; website, social media, newsletters and press releases.
    + Identifies appropriate promotional program and event opportunities.
    + Directs public relations to complement the firm’s business development strategy.
    + Writes with a style that is compelling and authentic (avoids flowery realtor jargon).
    + Pushes graphics and formatting to reinforce our style and creative brand.
    + Establishes and measures KPIs to track the impact of marketing revenue.
    + Responsible for driving website/social/SEO strategy, including analytics and integration with marketing automation and CRM solutions.
    + Works with senior team to evolve company’s brand identity.
    + Conduct customer, market, and competitor research to inform marketing strategy and company direction.
    + Manage third-party providers, including agencies and freelancers, for any marketing contract work.

    Business Development:

    + Directs and coordinates the firm’s business development efforts.
    + Cultivates potential business prospects and nurtures existing client relations.
    + Passionate about authentic relationships and longevity.
    + Continues to elevate the firm’s already successful reputation and understands our philosophy of “skating to where the puck is going to be”.
    + Grows our pipeline with establishing clear goals, objectives, strategies and tactics.
    + Sets yearly goals for new business and sales opportunities.
    + Understands the complexities of aligning long-range marketing priorities with changing market conditions and emerging opportunities.
    + Maximizes firm exposure to new markets sectors which complement our existing expertise.
    + Ensures crisp and precise articulation of firm’s desired image, brand, and voice; both internally and externally.
    + Understands how to pivot and not fearful of change.
    + Writes proposals and contracts.
    + Travels independently to find new work.
    + Monitors external and internal environment for development of new market segments.
    + Sets goals and KPIs for company-wide business development efforts.
    + Performs market research and analysis and produces feasibility studies and business plans for development of new market segments and regions.
    + Acts as an ambassador for the company at events, speaking engagements, community non-profits, and other opportunities for client engagement.

    Qualifications:

    + BS/MS in Business, Marketing, Communications or related emphasis required.
    + Minimum of 15 years of experience in Marketing with progressive responsibilities.
    + Minimum of 5 years of team management experience.
    + Experience working collaboratively with an Executive Team and other C-Suite members.
    + Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a dynamic and creative team.
    + Emotion intelligence and accountability skills which adhere to detailed project timelines.
    + Previous experience developing integrated business development strategies and executing campaigns with a proven track record to meet and exceed pipeline and revenue targets.
    + Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (i.e. Salesforce or similar).
    + Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences including executive management.
    + Detail oriented team player with cross-functional project leadership.
    + Respectful, flexible, and enthusiastic communicator that has elevated soft skills including grit, passion and is a natural leader.
    + Strong team management skills to complement our collaborative, passionate and creative studio environment.

  • Senior Interior Designer

    Aspen, Colorado

    Rowland+Broughton is searching for a Senior Interior Designer with ten or more years of experience in the field and a bachelor’s degree in interior design.  Candidates must have experience managing projects and leading a team, performing design work, participating in complete design control of projects, and project budget management.

    Qualifications:

    + Ten or more years of experience in the field and a bachelor’s degree in interior design
    + NCIDQ Certification (not required but preferred)
    + Focuses on high-end, luxury, and custom residential projects
    + Manages projects of all sizes and levels of complexity while providing coordination and project team leadership
    + Extensive experience and responsibility for conceptual design work — including hand drawings, renderings and presentation boards
    + Manages projects from schematic design through construction administration
    + Responsible for project budget management and cost control
    + Accountable for casework design including shop drawing review, organization, and delivery
    + Leads furniture selection, lighting design, architectural detailing, fabric selection and millwork
    + Manages purchasing, scheduling, and installation of projects
    + Provides direction to entry-level interior designers
    + Possess excellent written, graphic, presentation and verbal skills
    + Solid AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, Photoshop and Microsoft Office skills a must

     

  • Senior Project Architect

    Rowland+Broughton is continuously searching for exceptional Senior Project Architects with fifteen or more years of experience in the field and a professional degree in architecture.

    Senior Project Architect Qualifications, Roles, and Responsibilities:

    + Fifteen or more years of experience in the field of architecture
    + Has a combination of experience working on high-end residential, hospitality, retail, and/or commercial projects
    + Licensure preferred but not required
    + Bachelor’s degree in architecture
    + Displays leadership qualities that help the entire firm grow and flourish
    + Develops solutions and creates project designs and plans for the client
    + Initiates and creates project designs and plans for all phases of one or more projects and has responsibility for preparing presentation and design drawings
    + Coordinates all trades and agencies related to building design
    + Supervises a staff of architects, designers or technicians
    + Responsible and accountable for the drawing set
    + Monitors the drawing set and progress
    + Ensures that there is a complete redline set at all times and an up-to-date set of drawings in the flat file
    + Highest level of responsibility for technical accuracy and completeness of CD’s
    + Plans and develops projects of small to large scope and works under minimal supervision
    + Responsible for finished plans, specifications, or approval of materials and construction
    + Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments
    + Plans and develops architectural projects concerning unique and/or controversial complexities
    + Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods
    + Applies sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields
    + Acts independently regarding architectural methods and complexities
    + Requires use of advanced techniques and modification/extension of theories, precepts and practices of individual’s field
    + Solid AutoCAD or REVIT skills are a must
    + Solid Microsoft Office skills are a must

  • Project Architect / Project Manager

    Denver + Aspen, Colorado

    Rowland+Broughton is searching for a Project Manager/Project Architect with eight or more years of experience planning or developing complex medium to large scope projects. Candidates must have extensive experience executing and coordinating projects while overseeing a staff of architects and technicians.

    Qualifications:

    + Eight or more years of project experience
    + Licensed architect (not required but preferred)
    + Focuses on custom residential, hotels, restaurants, and commercial projects
    + Plans and develops projects of medium to large scope and works under minimum supervision
    + Oversees a group of support staff and offers mentorship to less experienced team members
    + Possesses an understanding of permitting as well as local regulation, building codes, and energy codes
    + Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments while adhering to project budgets and schedules
    + Accountable for construction documents, specifications, and construction observation
    + Adaptability when dealing with architectural projects that require unique and/or divisive complexities
    + This role requires a candidate with strong leadership skills while acting independently and with integrity when defining scope and developing original design concepts
    + Specific experience with technical documentation required
    + Solid AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D modeling, REVIT, rendering, SketchUp and Microsoft Office skills are a must

  • Architectural Designer

    Aspen, Colorado

    Rowland+Broughton is continuously searching for exceptional architects with five or more years of experience in the field and a professional degree in architecture.

    Qualifications:

    + Three or more years’ experience
    + Designer who is working toward licensure who is competent in all conventional aspects of architecture
    + Requires specific experience with the technical details of construction documents
    + Independent judgment when evaluating, selecting, utilizing standard techniques, and resolving conflicts
    + Performs work independently
    + Enthusiastically receives technical guidance on unusual or complex issues, as well as supervisory approval on proposed project plans
    + Solid AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D modeling, REVIT, rendering, SketchUp and Microsoft Office skills are a must
